Life cover offers financial peace of mind by paying out a lump sum if the person covered dies or is diagnosed with a terminal illness. These funds can be used to help secure the finances of their nearest and dearest or to pay off debts such as a mortgage.

Capital One purchasing ING Online Banking services

Capital One purchasing ING Online Banking services

Capital One purchasing ING Online Banking services for $9 billion was announced last week. This includes $2.8 Billion is Chase Stock and the balance, $6.2 billion in cash to the Netherlands investment firm ING.

The result of this purchase will make the ING investment firm the single largest stock holder of Capital One. Also included in the deal is that ING will now have a representative on the board of directors at Capital One.

This acquisition will move Capital One from the 8th largest financial institution in America to the number 5 spot. This moves them just behind the financial powers of the country for investing your money in Bank of America, Wells Fargo & Co., JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Citigroup.

The trademark Orange ball of ING will stay in place for the a year while the transition of the accounts is underway.
