Here’s a bank promotion for people living in Wisconsin, Illinois, or Minnesota. Associated Bank is offering up to $150 in free promotion money for opening a checking account. The promotion ends on April 20, 2010. To receive the bonus you must open a checking account (free and student accounts don’t qualify). You get $50 with your first order of checks and 5 debit card signature purchases. You get $50 when you make 3 online bill payments. And you get $50 when you setup direct deposit for your account.
There’s a limit of one bonus per household and you have to deposit at least $100 to qualify for the bonus. You have 60 days from opening your account to complete all promotional offers and all bonuses are credited to your account within 90 days of opening your account. You must make 5 transactions a month to receive your bonus payment.
Their Advantage Checking account qualifies for the bonus but you must have direct deposit or a $500 balance to avoid the monthly fee. Ordering checks are also not free so keep that in mind when collecting the first bonus.
Branches are located in several cities in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota and you can fill out an online application if you live in any of those states. Associated Bank is FDIC insured. To visit the promotion page click here.
